BECOMING AN UMPIRE

Within the club we actively encourage members to umpire.

Bev will discuss your plans with you and endeavour to arrange for you to attend the appropriate course and/or set you on the right path to achieve your goal.

Into Officiating Course

The aim of this course is to introduce the rudiments of umpiring a netball match to juniors (aged from 13 years old) or inexperienced players in club or school environment.  There are two courses; one aimed at 13 - 17 year olds; and another for over 18's.

C Award Umpiring Course

To prepare umpires with further knowledge of rules, umpire competencies, protocols, techniques and what is required to take the C award written and practical assessment

Both 'Into'and 'C' award umpiring courses are organised by the counties.

B Award Umpiring Course

The B Award course is designed for those umpires who wish to take the next step on the umpire pathway and officiate matches at a regional level. 
'B' award umpiring courses are run by the region.
