LATEST UPDATE MAY 2015: AGE LIMIT FOR THE YOUNGER UMPIRES
The aim of this course is to introduce the rudiments of umpiring a netball match junior or inexperienced players in club or school environment.
To prepare umpires with further knowledge of rules, umpire competencies, protocols, techniques and what is required to take the C award written and practical assessment
Both Beginner and 'C' award umpiring courses are organised by the counties.
'B' award umpiring courses are run by the region.

The Youth Umpire Award
The Youth Umpire Award is the ideal opportunity to introduce and encourage youths, 13-18 years to become involved in officiating. This is delivered via teachers and coaches in schools over a number of sessions accumulating to 6 hours plus additional practice.
