BECOMING AN UMPIRE

Within the club we actively encourage members to umpire.

Bev will discuss your plans with you and endeavour to arrange for you to attend the appropriate course and/or set you on the right path to achieve your goal.

Beginner Umpiring Course

The aim of this course is to introduce the rudiments of umpiring a netball match junior or inexperienced players in club or school environment.

C Award Umpiring Course

To prepare umpires with further knowledge of rules, umpire competencies, protocols, techniques and what is required to take the C award written and practical assessment

Both Beginner and 'C' award umpiring courses are organised by the counties.
'B' award umpiring courses are run by the region.

There are several C Umpiring Course scheduled in 2018.

   13th May 2018   Budmouth Community Sports Centre, Weymouth

   19th May 2018  Manchester Metropolitan University, Crewe

   2nd June 2018  Cambourne Village College, Cambourne

   9th June 2018 English Institute of Sport Sheffield

   10th June 2018 Ashford School, Ashford

The Youth Umpire Award

The Youth Umpire Award is the ideal opportunity to introduce and encourage youths, 13-18 years to become involved in officiating. This is delivered via teachers and coaches in schools over a number of sessions accumulating to 6 hours plus additional practice.
